4. Brand Manual: How to display the logo
1) What is a brand manual – or brand guidelines?
At Asia Media, here is our vision of brand manual:
” Design is a powerful tool when used well, but it can destroy a brand when used badly.
This manual sets out a “FREEDOM WITHIN A FRAMEWORK” philosophy, showing what can be adapted as a result of local legal rules, photographic images which match local insights, functional claims or local information panels.
It also sets out what is non-negotiable.
We are building a powerful brand. We need a consistent, global image, executed brilliantly by all the collaborators. This manual is a guide to achieving global creative excellence. ”
Here is the sum up of the Brand Guide we designed for Erudite:
In other words, a brand manual is a print/numeric tool that:
- gathers all your brand information in only one document, which makes access easier for all the employees.
- ensures consistency, coherence and quality between all your brand’s actions, which is essential to create an impactful brand.
- strengthens your brand identity, since all your communication actions would follow the same “design rules”.
- makes your teams more efficient & autonomous, since it is always faster and easier to follow a guide than to create a new path.
- enhances your company culture eases new employees onboarding because reading the manual will allow people to understand the brand better.
To make it simple, your brand manual will allow you to earn time, to improve your branding and to make things easier for your partners.
2) The Euridite logo guidelines for display
Here are some pages of the Erudite’s Brand Manual concerning the logo use. It indicates people how to display the logo in a good way, and to avoid making mistakes that might cost you money in the end.
“You only get one chance to make a first good impression.“
Ensuring that your logo has enough space among the other elements is visually important because it allows the eyes to “breathe”, and therefore, to make it more impactful.
Every logo design has a minimum size in order to still be visible. Vision decreases with age, and it would be a shame to deprive ourselves of people who have difficulty seeing.
3) The Euridite color guidelines
The colours use is essential to keep a coherent and consistent visual aspect. Colours are one pillar of your brand visual identity. They influence people unconsciously, and they would allow your audience to recognize you as well.
