In 1907, the first Fairmont Hotel, Nob Hill’s grand dame, opened its doors in San Fransico. This iconic hotel promptly turned out to be the venue of choice for glittering receptions, political gatherings and presidential visits. With this promising beginning, the name Fairmont became synonymous with “place of occasions” and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts brand was born.
Nowadays, Fairmont is a global luxury company which owns several famous Hotels and Resorts, including The Savoy in London, the Fairmont Peace Hotel in Shanghai, and New York’s The Plaza.
Recently, the company opened a luxury Maldives resort, Sirru Fen Fushi, and appointed us to develop its branding identity, logo designs and print communication.

First Fairmont hotel opening
We had great fun designing a range of logos for the 10 outlets in Sirru Fen Fushi. These included “Raha Market” the buffet dining hub of the resort, seafood restaurant “Azure Island”, “Kata” Japanese Restaurant, “Onu Onu” (meaning bamboo) beachside bar and the “Island Gallery” gift shop.
“We asked for Asia Media’s help with our branding needs for our new luxury Fairmont hotel in the Maldives. The results were excellent – creative treatments that were consistent, quick, and professional response and delivery on time against a pretty demanding deadline. I won’t hesitate to use Asia Media for future projects.”
Sirru Fen Fushi features a wide range of dining outlets, ranging from upmarket Japanese and French offerings to more middle of the road dining establishments and bars. We created a set of unique menus that reflected the style and positioning of each, as well as providing advise on production materials.
